Skechers Appoints Katherine Blair (JD '94) to Board of Directors
June 5, 2019 | Skechers USA, Inc. recently announced the company's decision to name Katherine Blair (JD '94) to its board of directors as an independent member. Blair is one of ten company directors of the Manhattan Beach-based corporation.

Katherine Blair is a Partner at Manatt in Los Angeles. She leads the firm's capital markets practice, focusing on the areas of corporate, securities and public company representation. Katherine has extensive experience representing companies and underwriters in various corporate finance and capital market transactions, including IPOs; Reg A+ offerings; follow-on and stockholder resale offerings; registered direct and at-the-market offerings; reverse mergers; PIPEs; offshore transactions; trust preferred, debt and preferred stock offerings; tender offers; going-private transactions; and venture capital financings. She advises companies on state and federal regulatory matters related to the SEC, FINRA, NYSE, NYSE American and Nasdaq. Katherine also acts as corporate counsel for companies, advising them on corporate governance matters, including board and management counseling, stockholder proposals and proxy contests, disclosure requirements, equity compensation, and other business matters. She has worked in a diverse range of industries, such as specialty finance, REITs, consumer goods, technology, foreign manufacturing and biotechnology.
Katherine frequently speaks on securities and corporate law topics, including cybersecurity developments, capital raising trends and strategies, and corporate governance. She serves on Manatt's Opinion Committee and on the Board of Advisors of TheCorporateCounsel.net, a leading source on securities, governance and corporate law matters. She is chair of the Business Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and vice chair, publications, of the Business Law Section of the California Lawyers Association.
