Caruso Law Hosts Slate of Self-Care Events
Amid the stress of final exams and holiday hullabaloo, Pepperdine Caruso School of Law hosted a week of self-care events to help our students make a strong push toward the end of the semester.
Self-Care Week kicked off on December 8 with a meditation and spiritual wellness session led by Pepperdine University Chaplain Sara Barton. Barton led students through visio divina, a form of divine seeing in which they prayerfully invited God to speak to their hearts.
On Wednesday, in lieu of the customary visit from therapy puppies, we invited students to gather with their precious furry friends for a pet party, and it proved to be quite a paw-pular event!
Just as students were winding down from exams, Cecily Breeding led a much-needed yoga session. And on Friday, as a final celebration, there was a virtual zumba fitness dance party led by Jaimy Gardner, Executive Assistant to Tim Perrin, the university's Senior Vice President for Strategic Implementation.
At Caruso Law, our community strives to nurture both the intellectual and emotional health of our students, especially in these most stressful times. Thank you to everyone who contributed and made Self-Care Week a success!
