Robert Simon (JD '05) to be Honored as Young Distinguished Alumnus of the Year for 2022
On May 19, Peppedine Caruso Law alumnus Robert T. Simon (JD ‘05), founder of the Simon Law Group and Justice HQ, will be honored as the Young Distinguished Alumnus of the Year for 2022. Simon has been a longtime supporter of Caruso Law in a variety of ways: mentoring students through the Parris Institute for Professional Excellence Preceptor Program, hiring students as interns and alumni as attorneys for his law firm, mentoring fellow attorneys, hosting seminars such as “How to Start Your Own Law Firm” for the Pepperdine community, serving on the Board of Advisors for several years, attending Pepperdine events including the annual United States Supreme Court Swearing In Ceremony, donating to various Pepperdine causes, and founding the Southern California Trial Lawyers Conference.
Simon has two beautiful children and one on the way that he and his wife Christine Bullock are raising to be future Waves. He truly embodies the Pepperdine mission of purpose, service, and leadership through his career, his commitment to community service, and to his family. Simon commented, "“My mission on this planet is to make the practice of law fun again, show lawyers how to have work-life balance, and help our clients break barriers to the courtroom and access to justice."
Dean Paul Caron said, “Bob has been a faithful supporter of the law school in so many ways over the years since his graduation in 2005. It is a great honor to bestow this much-deserved award on him, as he is worthy of our gratitude and thanks.”
