Public Interest Week | October 23-27
Public Interest Week is almost upon us!
Pepperdine Caruso Law students received an email from the Advocates for Public Interest Law (APIL) E-Board earlier this week with details about APIL's Annual Charity Auction on Wednesday, October 25th. Well, here is yet another message detailing ALL of the public interest-oriented events slated for next week:
On Monday, October 23, APIL is hosting legendary criminal defense attorney and civil rights activist, Mia Yamamoto, for a lunch-time conversation about public interest careers in the Mendenhall Courtroom.
On Tuesday, October 24, also in the Mendenhall Courtroom, the law school's clinical faculty and students will share stories from the clinics' practices that will amaze and inspire. Burritos will be served!
A reminder that on Wednesday, October 25, the APIL Annual Public Interest Charity Auction will take place in the Lon V. Smith Atrium. Check out our donations at Professor Donations!
Finally, on Friday, October 27, APIL is hosting a lunch mixer for all of our membership! Come kick off the weekend with us during the lunch hour on the Back Patio. Pizza will be served!
We hope you can join us for free food, free hangs, and inspiring stories from real community lawyers and activists! Feel free to reach out with any questions.
