Professor Stephanie Blondell and senior adjunct professor Shaphan Roberts presented "Convening Mediation Cases: Operational Steps and Communication" for the City of Los Angeles Civil, Human Rights, and Equity Department Investigation Division on September 14. The Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution professors spoke on best practices in convening mediation cases. Professor Blondell focused on operational strategy and communication skills, while Professor Roberts focused on how to overcome community resistance to mediation referrals.
