Professor Trey Childress Participates in Annual Meeting of State Department Advisory Committee on Private International Law

On June 3, 2022, Professor Donald Earl (Trey) Childress participated in the annual meeting of the United States Department of State Advisory Committee on Private International Law. The committee is comprised of leading scholars and practitioners and advises the State Department on the practice of private international law.

Topics discussed at the annual meeting included the negotiation of multilateral instruments on international litigation, family law, and secured transactions. The treaty practice of the United States was also discussed.

Professor Childress also serves on the State Department’s Advisory Committee on International Law, which advises on the practice of public international law.
