Professor Stipanowich Named Hagler Fellow at Texas University

Professor and Associate Dean Tom Stipanowich was honored by being named a Hagler Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Studies at Texas University, as a joint nominee of its Law and Architecture schools this year. Hagler Fellows are well known scholars from a variety of disciplines; Professor Tom Ginsburg of the University of Chicago School of Law is also a Hagler Fellow this year.

Professor Stipanowich will be spending the current fall semester in Texas, returning to Pepperdine and Straus in December. He and Mrs. Stipanowich look forward to spending time with their son Nick, who works in Dallas, and their daughter Laura, who is a lawyer in Houston.

Professor Stipanowich will present on various topics at both Texas campuses—in Fort Worth and College Station—and keynote an academic symposium on metrics and transparency in dispute resolution, with scholars from around the country. He also plans to continue advancing Straus initiatives in Asia by speaking at conferences at Hong Kong University and Peking University this fall. Below, the Straus staff offers a warm send-off to Professor Stipanowich in his office.
