Professor Stephanie Blondell Presents Maryland Public Policy Conflict Resolution Fellows Program at University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law
Professor Stephanie Blondell was the trainer for the Maryland Public Policy Conflict Resolution Fellows Program, held at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in Baltimore on June 16. The program was co-sponsored by the Maryland Judiciary (MACRO) and the Center for Dispute Resolution at the University of Maryland (C-DRUM) and was hosted by the Honorable Matthew J. Fader, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Maryland; Bruce E. Jarrell, M.D., president of the University of Maryland, Baltimore; and Renée Hutchins Laurent, dean of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
The two-day program focused on negotiation and conflict resolution skills for elected and appointed officials in the state of Maryland. Attendees included county executives, university presidents and deans, the state public defender, union presidents, the state court administrator, judges, and state secretaries including the secretary of public safety & correctional services. This was Professor Blondell's second time leading the program.
