Professor Stephanie Blondell Awarded L. Randolph Lowry Award 2023
Professor Stephanie Blondell was awarded the L. Randolph Lowry Award 2023 by the Southern California Mediation Association (SCMA). Each year the SCMA presents the L. Randolph Lowry Award to a member of the dispute resolution community who has honored and inspired the mediation community through their passion and dedication to education in the field of dispute resolution.
The award is named in honor of L. Randolph Lowry, one of the founders of SCMA and an educational leader of the mediation movement in Southern California for many years. Lowry taught at Pepperdine Caruso Law where he established the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. He is currently chancellor of Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.
An awards dinner was held on October 27 prior to the annual SMCA Fall Conference 2023. Professor Blondell is pictured with her Mediation Clinic teaching colleagues, Judge Alexander Williams and adjunct professor Sherri Sturgeon.
