Professor Shelley Saxer Presents "Property Rights and Regulatory Takings" -- Hawaii Bar Association
Professor Shelley Ross Saxer presented "Property Rights and Regulatory Takings" for the Hawaii Bar Association's Section of Real Property and Financial Services program in Honolulu on October 21. Professor Saxer joined Dwight Merriam and professor David Callies to discuss significant cases, including State of Hawaii v. Williams, City & County of Honolulu v. Victoria Ward, Ltd., and Shands v. City of Marathon.

This course will provide a survey of property rights and regulatory takings with an emphasis on recent decisions from the United States Supreme Court. Panelists include distinguished faculty and practitioners that will address impact fees, development rights, taking claims, rent controls, and other current issues.
