Professor Maureen Weston Presents "Recent Developments in Sports Law" -- Sports Lawyers Association Annual Conference

Professor Maureen A. Weston presented "Recent Developments in Sports Law" at the 2024 Sports Lawyers Association Annual Conference. Professor Weston, along with sports law professor Gabe Feldman from Tulane University School of Law and Matt Mitten from Marquette University Law School, presented an annual update on sports law developments for a plenary session that was attended by over 800 attorneys. Professor Weston is co-chair of the Sports Lawyers Association international sports committee, a member of the board of directors, and serves on the Hispanic/Latinx committee, disability committee, and women in sports law committee.

Also in attendance at the conference were Pepperdine Caruso Law alumni and sport lawyers Aaron Mojarres (JD '21), assistant ombuds at the Olympic committee, and Roland Wiley (JD '23), an athlete attorney at the offices of Howard Jacobs. 

The conference, titled "Where Sports and Culture Collide," was held in Baltimore on May 9-11.
