Professor Maureen Weston Presents "Sports Law Update" -- Sports Lawyer Association 50th Anniversary Annual Conference

Professor Maureen A. Weston joined professors Matthew Mitten of Marquette Law School and Gabriel Feldman of Tulane Law School in opening the Sports Lawyers Association’s 50th Anniversary Annual Conference. The sports law professors presented a comprehensive “360” update on key developments in sports law over the past year and conducted a featured interview with Jeffrey Kessler, co-executive chair of Winston & Strawn LLP and lead counsel in the landmark House v. NCAA college sports antitrust litigation. The panel discussed the implications of the proposed settlement that would allow for direct compensation of college athletes in major Division I sports.

The annual conference, titled "50 Years: Impacting the Future of Sports," took place in Nashville, Tennessee on May 15-17.
