Professor Maureen Weston Presents "Sports Law Developments: Year in Review 2025-26" -- Sports Lawyer Association

Professor Maureen A. Weston presented "Sports Law Developments: Year in Review 2025-26" for the Sports Lawyer Association (SLA) 51st Annual Conference. Professor Weston joined distinguished colleagues and sports law experts, professor Gabe Feldman from Tulane University School of Law, professor Matt Mitten from Marquette University Law School, and Despina Mavromati from the Court of Arbitration for Sport, to speak to over 1,200 attendees at the conference.  Professor Weston serves on the SLA board of directors and co-chairs its International Sport Committee.

The conference, titled "Going Beyond the Game: Growing the Landscape of Sport" was held on May 13-16 in Chicago.

The annual event was also an opportunity for Professor Weston to reconnect with Caruso Law alumni in sport, including Matte Landau (JD' 24) of the LPGA, Roland Wiley (JD '23) of the Law Offices of Howard Jacobs, Athlete Advocate, and Jeff Cook ('03, JD '06) CEO of the US Anti-Doping Agency.
