Professor Maureen Arellano Weston presented "Key Cases and Developments in USA Sports Law" at the Law In Sport Annual International Conference. Professor Weston discussed the significant changes in college sports involving endorsement deals, conference realignment, and athlete rights issues. She also addressed the implications of sports betting, the NFL disciplinary cases, and gains made in women sports.
The Law in Sport Conference brings together sports lawyers and key sport stakeholders from around the world to address cutting edge topics in sports. The conference, titled "Understand the Rules of the Game 2022," was held in London, England on September 7-8.
