Professor Maureen Weston Presents "Insights on the Decision and Impact of Postponing the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games" -- Sports Lawyer Association

Professor Maureen Arellano Weston organized and moderated the panel, "Insights on the Decision and Impact of Postponing* the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games" for the Sports Lawyer Association Webinar Series. Panelists included the general counsel and ombudsperson from the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, international sport lawyers, and arbitrators with the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The session focused on the issues and impacts at stake resulting from the decision to postpone* (daresay cancel?) the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Professor Weston served as Chair of the Sports Lawyers Association Annual Conference that was scheduled for May 2020 and then canceled due to COVID-19. Many of the conference sessions became part of the Sports Lawyers Association Webinar Series, available as online CLE programs. Additional information may be found here.
