Professor Maureen Weston Participates in Sports Lawyers Association Board of Directors Mid-Year Meeting and Fall Symposium
Professor Maureen Weston, who serves on the Sports Lawyers Association Board of Directors, recently participated in the board's mid-year meeting and fall symposium, "The Future of Sports Media and Data Rights." Professor Weston serves on the board's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee, International Committee, Conference Committee, and local outreach committees. The meeting and symposium took place on November 3.
The Sports Lawyers Association (SLA) is a non-profit, international, professional organization whose common goal is the understanding, advancement and ethical practice of sports law. There are over 1,000 current members, including practicing lawyers, law educators, law students, and other professionals with an interest in law relating to professional and amateur sports. The SLA Annual Conference will be held in Los Angeles on May 18-20, 2023. Law students are encouraged to join the SLA and to attend the premier sports lawyer conference.
