Professor Maureen Weston Participates in "At the Heart of Gold: Inside the USA Gymnastics Scandal" Screening and Panel

Pepperdine Caruso School of Law partnered with the Foundation for Global Sports Development and the Sports Lawyers Association to present an on-demand screening and exclusive opportunity to engage with individuals close to the legal case highlighted in the award-winning documentary,  "At the Heart of Gold: Inside the USA Gymnastics Scandal." Professor Maureen Weston organized the event and co-moderated a live panel discussion with Professor Jayma Meyer at Indiana University.  The panel included The Honorable Rosemarie Aquilina, who presided over the People v. Nassar criminal case in Michigan; Trinea Gonczar, former gymnast, sister survivor and advocate; and Mick Grewal, attorney at Grewal Law, who represents a number of plaintiffs in the involved cases.

The Foundation for Global Sports also kindly made a contribution to the Pepperdine Student Emergency Fund.
