Professor Maureen Weston Administers ABA National Law Student Arbitration Competition

Professor Maureen A. Weston administered the 2025 ABA National Law Student Arbitration Competition that took place in Chicago on January 17-18. Professor Weston serves on the ABA Law School Division Arbitration Competition committee.  Professor Weston, along with professor Kelly Feely of Stetson University,  professor Annie Scardula of University of North Carolina, and attorney Ben Warren plan throughout the year to organize the annual arbitration competition in which over 200 students participate at regional levels, with winning teams advancing to the National Arbitration Finals held at the ABA headquarters in Chicago.

Developed in 2005, the ABA National Law Student Arbitration Competition promotes greater knowledge and interest among law students about arbitration by simulating a realistic arbitration hearing. The competition provides law students an invaluable opportunity to learn about arbitration and promotes excellence in arbitration advocacy.
