Professor Mary Hoopes Receives Pepperdine University Provost Grant
Professor Mary S. Hoopes has received a Pepperdine University Provost Grant for her research with Adam Cox of New York University and David Hausman of UC Berkeley. Professor Hoopes will undertake a qualitative study of what kinds of information migrants rely upon when deciding whether to cross the border, and the extent to which laws or policies affect their decision-making. The professors will conduct field work in Mexico and Colombia in the fall.
The Provost Grants are for tenured and tenure-track faculty in the graduate and professional schools to support scholarship projects.
