Professor Mary S. Hoopes presented "Law Clerk Selection and Diversity: Insights from Fifty Sitting Judges of the Federal Court of Appeals" for the UC Berkeley Center for the Study of Law and Society Speaker Series. The presentation was attended by over 120 attendees, both in person and online, many of whom were judges.

Professor Hoopes's Harvard Law Review article "Law Clerk Selection and Diversity: Insights from Fifty Sitting Judges of the Federal Court of Appeals" (SSRN) is co-authored with California Supreme Court associate justice Goodwin Liu and Berkeley Judicial Institute executive director Jeremy Fogel.
