Professor Mark Kubisch Cited at United States House Committee on Financial Services Hearing
Professor Mark R. Kubisch's law review article, Constitutionally Suspect Interventions in the Shareholder Proposal Forum, 59 Wake Forest L. Rev. 1155 (2025) (SSRN) was cited at the United States House Committee on Financial Services' September 10 hearing on "Proxy Power and Proposal Abuse: Reforming Rule 14a-8 to Protect Shareholder Value." In his article, Professor Kubisch examines the Securities and Exchange Commission's oversight of the shareholder proposal process and identifies deficiencies with that process.
Witness James Copland, senior fellow and director of legal policy at the Manhattan Institute for Research Policy, referenced Professor Kubisch's work in his testimony, which can be found at Statement to the House Committee on Financial Services
