Professor Jeff Baker Presents "Cross Cultural Practice and Communication" -- The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple Inn of Court

Professor Jeffrey R. Baker presented a Qualifying Session lecture on "Cross-Cultural Practice and Communication" to law students and young lawyers at The Honourable Society of Middle Temple Inn of Court in London. Drawing on experiences in work and clinical practice in the South, Southern California, and in more than a dozen foreign countries, Professor Baker discussed principles of effective cross-cultural counseling and advocacy that expand access to justice. Students and lawyers shared stories to illuminate the challenges and promises of practice in an ever more diverse world.

Pepperdine Caruso School of Law has a decades-long partnership with Middle Temple, including moot court competitions in London and Malibu. Professor Baker serves as Assistant Dean of Clinical Education and Global Programs. He is visiting the London study-abroad program which resumed with 18 law students this fall.
