Professor Jason Jarvis Moderates “Leading from the Second Chair” -- Association of American Law Schools Annual Meeting 2026

Professor and associate dean of academic affairs Jason Jarvis moderated a well-attended panel titled “Leading from the Second Chair” at the 2026 Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Annual Meeting, drawing more than 40 participants for a candid and practical discussion of leadership from the associate dean’s role. The session generated strong engagement and positive feedback, with attendees highlighting the usefulness of the conversation and the opportunity to learn from shared experiences across institutions.

The panel also marked the culmination of Dean Jarvis’s service as chair-elect and then chair of the AALS Section, roles in which he helped guide programming and foster dialogue on leadership in legal education. Dean Jarvis will continue to support section leadership in an ex officio capacity this calendar year.

The 2026 AALS Annual Meeting, titled "Courage in Action," took place in New Orleans on January 6-9.
