Professor Helen Winter Presents "Strengthening Bonds Within an International Cohort" -- Harvard Law School

Professor Helen Winter presented “Strengthening Bonds Within an International Cohort” for the third consecutive year at Harvard Law School, leading an interactive workshop with 198 new LL.M. students as part of their orientation. Drawing on her co-authored research with David Hoffman, “Follow the Science: Proven Strategies for Reducing Unconscious Bias,” (SSRN) published in the Harvard Negotiation Law Review, Professor Winter shared strategies for reducing bias and fostering deeper connections within diverse groups.

The session engaged students in research-based exercises designed to build trust, empathy, and cross-cultural understanding. The high level of participation reflected the students’ strong interest in developing meaningful bonds within their international cohort.
