Professor Ed Larson Speaks on Centennial of Scopes Trial

Professor Edward J. Larson gave several presentations on the centennial of the Scopes Trial. On March 20, Professor Larson presented "The Scopes Trial at 100: Reality, Myth, Legacy" at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. On March 21, Professor Larson presented "The Scopes Trial at 100: Secularism, Race, and Education" for the Boardman Symposium at the University of Pennsylvania. Also on March 21, Professor Larson delivered the keynote speech for the Scopes Trial Centennial Dinner held at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee. 

Professor Larson is the recipient of the 1998 Pulitzer Prize in History for his book, Summer for the Gods: The Scopes Trial and America's Continuing Debate Over Science and Religion.
