Professor Edward J. Larson's book, American Inheritance: Liberty and Slavery in the Birth of a Nation, 1765-1795, has been named to the Best Nonfiction Books of the Year for 2023 by Kirkus Reviews. Kirkus Reviews is an American book review magazine founded in 1933. American Inheritance is published by Norton.
