Professor Chris Chambers Goodman Participates at Los Angeles County Bar Association Diversity and Inclusion Conference 2023 -- Loyola Law School Los Angeles
Professor Christine Chambers Goodman moderated two panel discussions at the Los Angeles County Bar Association Diversity and Inclusion Conference 2023. The conference took place at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles on April 21.
Professor Goodman moderated a panel entitled, "Is Affirmative Action Dead?" with lawyers who wrote briefs and argued before the US Supreme Court in the pending Harvard and Univeristy of North Carolina cases. The other panelists were Mona Tawatoe of the Equal Justice Society, David Hinojosa of the Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights, Micheale Turnage-Young on the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and Minneosota Attorney General Keith Ellison.
Professor Goodman also moderated a lunchtime keynote panel discussion between California Attorney General Rob Bonta and Ellison, discussing issues of diversity, equity and inclusion in their offices.
