Professor Ahmed Taha Featured in "Expert Thoughts on Discover it Student Cash Back" -- WalletHub
Professor Ahmed Taha's review is featured in the WalletHub article, "Expert Thoughts on Discover it Student Cash Back." The review considers the features of student credit cards.
From WalletHub:
Which is better for students interested in a credit card: a flat rewards rate on all purchases or rotating bonus categories?
Whether to choose a credit card that offers a flat rewards rate on all purchases or one that offers rotating bonus categories really depends on the spending characteristics of the particular student and on the particular terms of the credit cards. The rotating-bonus card is more likely to be better (1) the larger the percentage of the student’s expenditures that are in the rotating categories, (2) the greater the amount by which the bonus rewards rate exceeds the flat rewards rate, and (3) the lesser the amount by which the flat rewards rate exceeds the non-bonus rewards rate. Also, of course, if the student does not pay off their balance every month, the interest rates the cards charge are a very important consideration
