Pepperdine/Straus American Inn of Court for Dispute Resolution Continues Panel Series

The Pepperdine/Straus American Inn of Court for Dispute Resolution met on April 12, 2018 at the downtown Los Angeles law offices of Jones Day for a dinner program entitled "What Commercial Neutrals and Advocates Need to Know Now – Notable Decisions, Statutes and Other Developments Affecting the Practice and Process of Arbitration, Mediation and Settlement." A panel of Inn members including Inn Secretary Rebecca Callahan, Chris Blank, Pamela Zylstra, and David Schack presented. The highly comprehensive program was the third in a series for the Inn's fifty members, each qualifying for MCLE credit.

On May 10, Inn member and Counselor Thomas Stipanowich will present "Mixing Modes: Our Growing Experience with Interplay between Mediation, Evaluation, and Arbitration," a joint teleconferenced luncheon program to be held at Pepperdine's Malibu Drescher Graduate Campus in association with New Jersey's Justice Maries L. Garibaldi American Inn of Court for Alternative Dispute Resolution.  On the evening of June 20, the Pepperdine/Straus Inn will hold a summer social event at the Jonathan Club at the beach in Santa Monica.

The Inn is modeled on and affiliated with the American Inns of Court, associating more than 30,000 lawyers, judges, professors and other legal professionals nationally from all levels and backgrounds who share a passion for excellence, civility, professionalism, and ethics. Those interested in membership may contact Inn Co-Administrators Lori Rushford or Tess Marme at (310) 506-4655 for information.
