Pepperdine Legal Aid Clinic Receives Grant to Provide Legal Services to Covenant House Los Angeles
The Pepperdine Legal Aid Clinic, under the direction of clinical professor of law Brittany Stringfellow Otey, has received a $70,000 grant to provide legal services to Covenant House Los Angeles. Covenant House provides transitional housing and services to youth ages 18-24 facing homelessness and human trafficking in Hollywood. The clinic's supervising attorney, Rax Chavez, works closely with the residents and guests to provide advocacy related to homelessness, exploitation, abuse, immigration, housing, and other relevant legal issues.
Pepperdine Caruso Law has partnered with Covenant House Los Angeles to serve young people in need since 2017.
