Pepperdine Law Prepares to Celebrate the Class of 2019

May 8, 2019 | On Friday, May 17, the Pepperdine School of Law will honor the members of the Class of 2019 as they celebrate the end of a significant chapter in their lives. With the School of Law "on the rise," the Class of 2019 stands to graduate as exemplars of the academic excellence and Christian values instilled by this institution. The School of Law will confer 179 juris doctor degrees, 60 master's of legal studies, 35 master's of Law (LLM), and 32 master's of dispute resolution (MDR).

Reflecting on all that the Class of 2019 has been through from massive renovations to natural disasters, dean of students Naomi Goodno describes this graduating class as "true leaders with the highest of character and undeniable grit."

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai will deliver the commencement address. Pai will also be presented as the candidate for honorary doctorate.

Michael C. Leach (JD '86) will be recognized as this year's Distinguished Alumnus. Leach is the head football coach at Washington State University.
