Pepperdine Law Congratulates Melissa Medrano
April 26, 2019 | Pepperdine Law is proud to congratulate its latest bell-ringer in recognition of post-graduate employment success, Melissa Medrano! Melissa was joined in the festivities by Dean Paul Caron, Dean of Students Naomi Goodno, Dean of Admissions Shannon Phillips, and members of the Career Development Office, Administrative Offices, and Deans' Suite. Also celebrating with Melissa were her parents, Karen and Juan Medrano, her sister Jennifer, and her daughter Lyla.
Melissa will be joining Foley and Mansfield, a civil defense litigation firm that handles asbestos and other toxic torts for corporate clients. Melissa has been working as a law clerk for Foley and Mansfield for the past two years since getting the clerkship though the Career Development Office's On-Campus Interview program. Melissa is pleased to be joining the firm as an attorney following her graduation.
Melissa is a first-generation college student. She attended Pepperdine University Seaver College as an undergraduate, receiving a degree in political science in 2011. Pepperdine University has a special place in Melissa's heart because her father's first job in America after fleeing civil war in El Salvador was as a dishwasher at Pepperdine. Melissa is thrilled to have graduated from Pepperdine as both an undergraduate and law school student.
A very special congratulations to Melissa!
