Pepperdine Caruso Law Team Wins International Moot Court Competition in Law and Religion 2026

The Pepperdine Caruso School of Law team of Mitchell Brost, Megan Hoefs, and Isaac Zwerling won the International Moot Court Competition in Law and Religion 2026. The achievement marks the second year in a row that a Caruso Law team has won the competition.  The ninth annual competition, held at the St. John’s University campus in Rome, Italy on March 12-14, brought together teams from the United States and Europe to argue a case before panels representing the United States Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights.

The Caruso Law team beat teams from Harvard Law School, Emory University School of Law, BYU Law School, Cardozo School of Law, and St. John's School of Law.  The team argued in front of a distinguished panel of judges, including Judge Danielle J. Forrest from the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
