Pepperdine Caruso Law Team Wins First Place in 8th Annual Game Day Sports Competition
Pepperdine Caruso Law students Matte Landau, Matthew Hand, and Taylor Jennings, and Graziadio Business School MBA students Stefani Feldman and Tai M. Brown won first place in the 8th Annual Game Day Sports Case Competition hosted by UCLA. Competing against teams from schools across the country including UCLA, Villanova, Marquette, and UConn, the Pepperdine team presented a sports business proposal about Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for an NCAA Athlete and subsequently negotiated a contract in front of a panel of sport industry judges. The competition was held on April 2, 2022.
The Pepperdine team won a first place prize of $5,000. Congratulations to the team, and thank you to the Pepperdine Institute for Entertainment, Media, Sports and Culture for supporting students in the joint business and law competition.
