Pepperdine Caruso Law Sports Law Alumni Meet at Sports Lawyer Association Annual Conference
Pepperdine Caruso Law sports law alumni Jeff Cook ('03, JD '06), chief operating officer and general counsel at the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, Matteson Landau (JD '24), corporate counsel at the Ladies Professional Golf Association, Aaron Mojarres (JD '21), associate athlete ombudsman at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and Roland Wiley (JD '23), athlete advocate at the Law Offices of Howard L. Jacobs, joined professor Maureen Weston at the Sports Lawyer Association 50th Anniversary Annual Conference.
The Sports Lawyer Association Conference is the premier annual gathering of nearly 1,000 sports lawyers, professionals, neutrals, and law students, with panels covering important and cutting-edge issues and legal developments in sports. Professor Weston opened the conference with a "Sports Law Update" presentation on key developments in sports law.
The conference, titled "50 Years: Impacting the Future of Sports," took place in Nashville, Tennessee on May 15-17.
