Pepperdine Caruso Law Graduates Celebrate Winter 2025 California Bar Swearing-In Ceremony

On Wednesday, December 3, the biannual tradition of the California Bar Swearing-in Ceremony was held at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Caruso Law graduates who recently passed the California Bar Exam and their family, friends, and professors came together to celebrate the impressive accomplishments of the Class of 2025.

The ceremony opened with greetings and remarks from Chalak Guinses, dean of students, belonging, and career development, and Bob Pettit, director of alumni engagement. Dean Paul Caron then addressed the attendees, congratulating the graduates on their remarkable bar passage success. 

Pepperdine Caruso Law welcomed two distinguished alumnae who officiated the ceremony. Judge Lauren Lofton (JD '07) of the Los Angeles County Superior Court shared words of advice before administering the state oath, and United States Magistrate Judge Valerie Torres (JD '02) led the ceremonial federal oath.

The new attorneys then celebrated with their classmates and special guests who had joined them for the happy occasion. Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
