Pepperdine Caruso Law Congratulates Jared Antman

Pepperdine Caruso Law is pleased to congratulate its recent bell-ringer in recognition of post-graduate employment success, Jared Antman! Jared was joined in the joyous celebration by Dean Paul Caron and Courtney Caron, Dean Shannon Phillips, Professor Mark Scarberry, and remotely by Dean Naomi Goodno, Professor Nancy Hunt, and Adjunct Professor James Azadian. Also taking part in the festivities were directors and members of the Career Development and Administrative Offices, the Deans' Suite, and many of Jared's friends and classmates.

Jared is a first-generation law student. He was born and raised in Marlboro, New Jersey, and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. After graduation, Jared worked in New York City for five years in accounting and immigration law.

At Caruso Law, Jared serves as a Literary Citation Editor for the Pepperdine Law Review, Teaching Fellow for the Academic Mastery Program (AMP), and member of the Ninth Circuit Appellate Advocacy Clinic.

Following graduation, Jared will serve as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Scott Yun of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Central District of California. He learned about the possibility of clerking for a federal judge through various faculty members at Caruso Law, including Professor Mark Kubisch and Dean Naomi Goodno in his 1L year.

Jared is particularly thankful to Professor Nancy Hunt for preparing him for the clerkship application process, Professor Mark Scarberry for inspiring him to pursue bankruptcy as a career in his Bankruptcy Law course, and Professor James Azadian for his unwavering support and guidance over the past two years in law school. Finally, Jared would like to give special thanks to Judge Joseph Greenaway and Judge Barry Russell for their kindness in accepting him as an extern, providing him with invaluable advice and mentorship, and believing in him when he was an extern.

Congratulations to Jared!
