Pepperdine Caruso Law Clinical Education Program Hosts Inaugural End of Year Celebration

Pepperdine Caruso Law’s Clinical Education Program hosted its inaugural “End of Year Celebration” on April 23. Bringing together students and professors from all ten of the law school’s legal clinics, the gathering served as an opportunity to celebrate over 10,000 hours of pro bono services to the community, ranging from direct client representation to appellate work. During the event, professor and director of clinical education Brittany Stringfellow Otey congratulated the students and faculty on another year of meaningful service.

The clinics’ legal practices, including assisting the victims of the 2025 fires, representing victims of human trafficking, defending a client’s constitutional rights, and providing significant legal aid, support Pepperdine in living out its mission in the surrounding communities. Caruso Law students shared reflections on their clinical experiences, highlighting personal and professional growth and the sense of purpose that pro bono legal work has provided them.
