Pepperdine Caruso Law Career Development Office Hosts 2026 "Meet the Firms" Event for First Year Students
On October 21, a rainy day could not put a damper on the Pepperdine Caruso Law Career Development Office's "Meet the Firms" networking event. Twenty-five of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the country, many with a global presence, attended the event. All Caruso Law first-year students were invited to attend and network with the elite firms, most of whom sent attorneys as well as recruiters, including a few from out of state.
First-year law students showed up in numbers in their professional attire, armed with carefully prepared questions and polished resumes. The atrium was transformed with networking stations to encourage mingling. The entire space was busy with curiosity, questions, and animated conversation as students learned about how BigLaw firms practice today and made excellent first impressions on prospective employers.
The students were not the only ones who appreciated the dynamic networking event. Law firm representatives were equally impressed with the preparedness of the Caruso Law students and the event itself. Kate Robison, a recruiting professional who traveld from Texas for the event said, “Pepperdine’s 2026 Meet the Firms event was exceptionally well organized, and Haynes Boone was delighted to be part of such a successful event. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many impressive students and sharing more about our firm and the opportunities we offer.”
Assistant dean of Career Development Alexis Joyce, whose team coordinated the event, said, “This event is one example of the many ways the Career Development Office endeavors to provide our students with opportunities for success in today's ever changing legal marketplace.”
