Pepperdine Caruso Law alumnus Otto Cipolla (JD '83) is featured in the ABC7 Eyewitness News story, "Collecting PEZ Dispensers Is This Retired Lawyer's Guilty Pleasure" by entertainment reporter George Pennacchio. The story highlights Cipolla's office walls lined with PEZ candy dispensers, a collection that goes back in PEZ history as far back as 75 years. Cipolla, a beloved former Caruso Law preceptor, is the namesake of the Otto Cipolla Preceptor of the Year Award and the Otto Cipolla Closing Argument Competition.

"Over 14,000 line these walls. I have another 6,000 or more in storage!" Cipolla said.
That's more than three times the official Guinness World Record for PEZ collecting. We've seen PEZ in movies like "Ant-Man and The Wasp," in documentaries and even on "Seinfeld."
Cipolla estimates he's invested at least $50,000 in his collection.
"After a while, when it became addictive, I just said, 'I'm gonna have everything.' So, whatever I saw that I didn't have, I went and got," Cipolla said.
