Melanie K. Lane (JD '22) Joins Kennington R. Groff (JD '14) at Founders Legal

Pepperdine Caruso Law alumna Melanie K. Lane (JD '22) has joined Founders Legal (Bekiares Eliezer LLP) in Atlanta after connecting with alumna Kennington Groff (JD '14) through alumni services. Lane serves as an associate attorney and Groff serves as a senior associate attorney at the firm. Their practice areas encompass intellectual property law, entertainment law, and litigation.

Melanie Lane joined Founders Legal as an Associate Attorney in June 2023. She earned her J.D. in 2022 and also holds a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University's Caruso School of Law. Immediately after graduation, Melanie began practicing at Oliver Hughes LLC, a firm focusing on business and contract disputes. Within just three months, she was entrusted with significant responsibilities, reflecting her robust legal understanding and leadership skills. Her love for the law is matched by her commitment to her community; Melanie serves in various roles at Peachtree Christian Church.

Kennington Groff joined the Founders Legal team in February 2022, bringing core competencies in brand strategy, trademark and copyright registration, maintenance and enforcement, and general counsel assistance. With a wealth of experience in the entertainment industry, her unique blend of legal and industry experience serves her clients well.
