Professor Maureen Weston Recognized by AALS Section on Law and Sports

Professor Maureen Weston has been recognized by the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Section on Law and Sports for her "substantial and significant contributions to scholarship, teaching, and service in the area of law relating to sports." The AALS announced this honor at its Annual Meeting on January 3 in Washington, DC.

Professor Weston is the Director of the Entertainment, Media and Sports Dispute Resolution program at Pepperdine Caruso Law. In addition, she serves as Faculty Advisor to the Sports & Entertainment Law Society and Dispute Resolution Journal and as coach for ICC Mediation Advocacy and Sports & Entertainment Law Negotiation competitions.

The Section on Law and Sports promotes the communication of ideas, interests, and activities among members and makes recommendations on matters of interest in the teaching and improvement of the law relating to sports.
