Mark Kaczynski (JD '81) appointed mayor of Berlin, Connecticut

November 17, 2015 -- Pepperdine Law alumnus and retired Drug Enforcement Administration special agent Mark Kaczynski (JD '81) has been appointed mayor of Berlin, Connecticut.  After graduating from Pepperdine Law, Kaczynski served in the DEA for thirty years before returning to his native Connecticut. He is now a security director for a pharmaceutical company.

Kaczynski, a Republican who served for 16 years on the Planning and Zoning Commission, was appointed mayor by the council minutes after the members were sworn in. He was the highest vote getter in the council race in an election that placed Republicans in the majority for the first time in several years....
