Lacey Estudillo (JD '16) receives Judge Barry Russell Federal Practice Award

October 21, 2016 -- Alumna Lacey Estudillo (JD '16) has received the Judge Barry Russell Federal Practice Award for academic achievement in federal practice and procedure. The Award, given by the Los Angeles Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, was presented at the chapter's annual luncheon on October 6. Students from five local law schools received the award, which is provided each year by Judge Russell. The luncheon also included the chapter's annual Supreme Court Review.

Lacey Estudillo

 

Lacey Estudillo graduated from Pepperdine Law last spring and is currently serving in a two-year fellowship with premier appellate firm Horvitz and Levy. In 2018, Lacey will begin a clerkship at the United States District Court for the Central District of California with The Honorable Andre Birotte.

 

Judge Barry Russell

 

Judge Russell (bio) has been a United States Bankruptcy Court judge since 1974, has lectured around the globe on bankruptcy law, and is the holder of multiple awards in the field of bankruptcy.
