Excerpt from "The Honorable Jeremy D. Dolnick: Driven by a Passion to Help Others"

From his days in high school, Judge Dolnick already knew that his trajectory was going to include going to law school. Judge Dolnick majored in Law and Society at UC Santa Barbara before attending Pepperdine Law School, where he enjoyed participating in moot court and trial practice.  Immediately after law school, Judge Dolnick interned at the Santa Barbara District Attorney's Office. He then went to work with his brother in private practice for approximately five years before landing his dream job at the Alternate Defender Office of Orange County, where he worked for approximately fourteen years. When he was appointed to the bench, Judge Dolnick started out presiding over misdemeanor trials and arraignments before moving to dependency, where he has spent almost three years.
