Jim Gash and Global Justice Program co-host Conference on Pre-Trial Processes

March 21, 2017 | By Kylie Larkin -- Professor Jim Gash and the Pepperdine Law Global Justice Program co-hosted the Conference on Pre-Trial Processes with the National Law University, Delhi, which was held on March 14-15, in Delhi, India.  Conference speakers included academics from India, judges, public defenders, and court officials from the United States and Uganda, and lawyers from Counsel to Secure Justice.  Topics included plea bargaining, disclosure of evidence, access to counsel, legal aid, bail, and treatment of juveniles by the criminal justice system.  Professor Gash moderated three panels and delivered the keynote address.
