James Azadian (JD '01) Selected for Los Angeles Business Journal's "Thriving In Their 40s" List

Pepperdine Caruso Law alumnus and Board of Advisors member James Azadian (JD '01) has been selected for the Los Angeles Business Journal's "Thriving In Their 40s" feature, which appears in the December 21 issue of the publication. Azadian is a member and the West Coast chair of appellate practice at Dykema Gossett PLLC, located in Los Angeles.

From the Los Angeles Business Journal:

Jimmy Azadian leads Dykema's West Coast appellate practice. He specializes in complex federal and state court commercial litigation raising cutting-edge and core business issues, the First Amendment to the Constitution, Article I of the California Constitution, and the application of California's anti-SLAPP statue in federal court.

Despite how busy Azadian has been in the courtroom, he also takes great pride in, and makes time for, providing mentorship and guidance for the next generation of appellate attorneys. He has served as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in Appellate Advocacy at Pepperdine University School of Law, Law and Economics at UCLA, the Supreme Court Practicum at Northwestern University School of Law, and Legal Ethics at USC. He has founded and leads a foundation that connects with at-risk youth and teaches them about the judiciary, securing special invitations from appellate courts for the youth to attend hearings.
