Straus LLM Candidate Peter Neumann Accepted as International Consultant and Observer by China Academy of Arbitration Law

Straus Institute LLM candidate Peter Neumann has been accepted as an International Consultant and Observer by the China Academy of Arbitration Law (CAAL). The role builds on the Straus Institute's strong relationship with the Arbitration Institute of the China University of Political Science and Law and the efforts of Sammy Liu, head of the Straus China Program, to strengthen Straus's ties to the bourgeoning Chinese international arbitration and ADR communities. Prior to commencing his studies at the Straus Institute, Peter practiced cross-border corporate and mergers and acquisitions law for nearly 30 years, including 20 years in Greater China.

Peter said, "This great honor and recognition by CAAL is really a reflection of all that Straus has given me since I enrolled last year. When I decided to re-focus my career on international dispute resolution, one of my mentors (a past president of the Beverly Hills Bar Association) strongly recommended Straus Institute as key preparation. Straus's resources - faculty, courses and a deep network in the Chinese international arbitration community - have far exceeded my expectations and are proving to be an outstanding source of support for my career pivot. I look forward to continuing my engagement with Straus for decades to come."
