First Day of Classes for All Students | Friday, August 16 | Monday Schedule

Dear Pepperdine Caruso Law Students:

I hope you are each having a wonderful, enriching, relaxing summer.  

I am writing to remind you of the unusual start date for this fall semester in Malibu.  

Friday, August 16, 2024, is the first full day of regular classes. It is a Monday schedule.  

That means that if you have Monday classes, they will be held on that Friday, and then you will have another Monday schedule as usual on Monday, August 19.  To the extent you are traveling or working, please make sure you account for this start date.

As previously explained, the reason for this unusual calendar event is because it permits us to complete classes the week before Thanksgiving so you have more time to study for finals and do not need to be on campus for classes at all for that week.  (Thanksgiving is November 28 this year).  Otherwise everyone would have had to come back for only that Monday November 25.

This will not be the last reminder you get from me about this unusual calendar start time, but please mark it in your calendars.

We miss seeing you around campus but know it will not be too long until we're all back together again!
