Elia Vazquez Receives Mexican American Bar Foundation Scholarship Award

Pepperdine Caruso Law rising second-year student Elia Marie Vazquez has received a scholarship award from the Mexican American Bar Foundation. Vazquez was honored at the foundation's 31st Scholarship and Awards Gala, which was held on June 11 at the InterContinental Downtown Los Angeles. The Mexican American Bar Foundation is a charitable organization led by volunteer lawyers and judges that enhances the diversity of the legal profession though education.  The foundation assists students attending American Bar Foundation accredited law schools in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

Vazquez was selected based on her academic achievement, community service, leadership, financial need, and success in overcoming hardships. Vazquez remarks, "My experience at Caruso Law has been especially meaningful because it has given me the opportunity to connect with some incredible Latinx folks within the legal community."
